Workplace mediation, group facilitation

Company Description

I believe we spend too much time working to not be happy at work! Chantilly Mediation and Facilitation is dedicated to helping leaders build happier workplaces. I’m a trained mediator, hold a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies, and LOVE to train and facilitate groups. My favorite testimonial is when, at the end of a group gathering, someone spontaneously blurts out, “I didn’t think I’d enjoy this, but this was really fun!” Of course, when it comes to mediation, it’s never exactly fun – but helping leaders define and eliminate communication problems feels so good.

When & Why I joined NAWBO

I believe in the power of women coming together.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

Right now, rereading The Secret Garden; or, I might be playing Phase 10 or Civilization with my kids, or, walking the dog.

What is your favorite knock-knock joke?

Where does a king keep his armies? In his sleevies!

What is one superpower you’d choose to have?

The ability to fly seems pretty cool, but it is hard to choose.

Your favorite quote is:

Listening is not merely hearing, it is receiving the message that is being sent to you. Listening is reacting. Listening is being affected by what you hear. Listening is letting it land before you react. Listening is letting your reaction make a difference. Listening is active.

Name a person (living or dead) who inspires you. Why

So many! Ruth Bader Ginsburg is definitely a favorite, especially after I learned more about her life reading my kids the book “I Dissent” (a great read at any age). She fought against oppression from an early age and seems to have always known her own mind.
