Type of Business
Business Advisory/Fractional CFO & Controller/Basic Accounting
Company Description
The mission of dK east is to be your partner and mentor in strategic, financial and operational management. With over two decades of experience in accounting and finance, especially in sports, media and professional services, we can help you tackle the financial and strategic issues specific to these industries to let you handle the part of your business that you are passionate about.
How do we differ from a full-time CFO/Controller or your CPA? While many CFO’s are indeed CPA’s, the opposite is not the case. CPA’s are integral in planning for greatest tax advantages but CFO’s embrace not only the financial and accounting side of business but are able to translate that into actionable items that can grow your business and make it better. dK east, LLC takes that even further by having experienced team members who have operational as well as financial backgrounds and we do it at a fraction of the cost of a full-time CFO or Controller.
We’ll give you a better understanding of the financial side of your business so you have fewer surprises. We will help you implement accounting processes, policies and structure that are scalable as you grow but at the same time don’t hinder your business. As your business partner, we will help you interpret information and data to enable you to make timely and informed decisions to grow your business.
dK east serves as a turnkey finance solution enabling companies to focus their efforts, resources and expertise on product development, service delivery and sales/marketing activities. We provide temporary, interim and long term solutions enabling companies to achieve the highest quality yet scalable financial advisory services. Clients have access to a broader range of services/expertise with costs better matched to the actual resource usage. We specialize in designing and implementing accounting systems and structures to be scalable and grow with your business.
We’ve worked with marketing agencies, video/podcast production studios, streaming radio services, youth sports programs, after-school sports programs, social and competitive sports leagues, non-profit organizations, restaurants and professional services firms.
When & Why I joined NAWBO
I joined NAWBO in March 2020. In working with various companies this year, I’ve realized that the ones that are thriving in these challenging times are women-owned and D&I cognizant. I decided that I would focus my energy and my company goals on working solely with women-owned and diversity-conscious and active companies. NAWBO is a fantastic resource to learn from other women-founders and to network and collaborate with them.
